Spa service was amazing. I got the body scrub. It was very expensive and I got a gift card. Not sure if it’s worth the price otherwise but I did enjoy it. It’s super clean and brand new. Staff is friendly. Parking is easy. Too tier.
We arranged a room block with The Hotel for our wedding. Setting it up was easy but then the problems started. Numerous guests called the number we were given to book on the block and were told it was full, even when it wasn't, or that there was no record of it. Some called to book but were then offered a different block so did not end up counting towards ours. Guests who wanted to stay longer ended up having to make separate reservations for the "block nights" and the "non block nights" which is quite strange for a hotel in 2025. All of this was confusing for our guests and embarrassing for us, and I had to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what was going on and make sure that our guests were indeed booked on the correct rate. The event manager was not responsive via phone or email - it was very difficult to get hold of a human at The Hotel who could confirm information and tell us how many people/who were on the block. It turns out most/all calls to the number we were given for reservations redirect to an external "reservation desk" which manage many hotels. I tried calling them myself to test things out and was told there was no record of my block when there was; calling back I got a different operator who did find it. The icing on the cake was that, under four weeks from our wedding, we were abruptly told that The Hotel no longer offered the complimentary shuttle service that would have taken our guests to our venue and back (it was on the shuttle's loop route). So we had to scramble to find replacement transit - yet more stress. This was a bait and switch as it had been a selling point of choosing The Hotel when we were looking at options. The Hotel did not offer anything beyond a generic apology. The short version: the facilities are nice, staffing/logistics for events are unprofessional and difficult to get hold of and we would not recommend. Dealing with this room block was the most stressful and needlessly time-consuming aspect of our wedding planning.
