We had really high expectations of the Westin Hotel but when we got there it was a bit of a let down. It didn't have a feel of a 5 star resort hotel. The room and resort was very outdated. The bathroom had a louvered wood sliding door and in between the bathroom and bedroom was rectangular louvered swinging door. It was mind blogging what the purpose of that was other than opening it up and opening the blinds on the sliding glass door to say, you could see the ocean from the bathroom. We requested a balcony with a view thinking we could walk out on the balcony and enjoy the view. Well, they have no such thing as a real balcony. It should just be called a sliding glass door with the view of the ocean. It was very misleading and we had to pay a higher rate for that so called balcony. Also the resort fees and valet parking were very high. The first two days we had no room service and had to ask for towels. We did enjoy the restaurants and pool bar. All the staff was attentive and friendly. The location of the hotel to the beach was convenient and we loved the walkway so you didn't have to worry about the traffic. Enjoyed the drink coupons and free dessert. Unfortunately, we wouldn't stay at the Westin again.

Property is pretty beaten up. Elevators are all out except one in the south tower. In need of a major renovation. Service is average. You have to get the towels at the pool. No towels at the beach. Restaurant is good and reasonable. The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s right by the beach.

Worst Westin ever! Hotel is very outdated! Tiles were coming off the bathroom walls, room wasn’t clean, etc. This hotel needs a major renovation for what they charge per night. Upon checking in and waiting in line, the hotel clerk walked off so I stood in another line. She came back to counter without offering to help check me in and just looked at me while I waited in line then proceeded to help someone else who walked in five minutes later. Rude! Secondly, the valet is a nightmare. Lanes were small and valet was slow. There was only two people working during a rush, so many people were left stranded in their car waiting to pull up since there were no room to move with all the cars piled up to be parked in the garage. Thirdly, I handed my slip over to the girl at the counter to go get my car and somehow she didn’t put my ticket in and made me wait over 30 minutes! All she did was sat there the whole entire time! Ridiculous! I confronted her and asked why my car didn’t come out yet and she made an excuse “oh I forgot.” Girl, all you do is sit there and play on your phone! Fourth, I got locked out of my room for over thirty minutes while I waited for maintenance to arrive to change out the batteries on the locks with my toddler in hand. They changed out the batteries but didn’t check to see if my card worked to open the door. Guess what? It didn’t so I had to go back downstairs all the way to the front lobby and reactivate my card which shouldn’t had deactivated in the first place. Oh yeah, getting to the front lobby was a pain. The walk to your hotel room is so, so far. You have to walk to two different elevators just to get your hotel room. It’s basically two towers connected with a long, long hallway.
