Royal Sea Cliff Kona By Outrigger

Great location. Close to Kona and a public beach. The condo was nice and had all of the items we needed for a week. And fit all of our people. The boogie boards and sand toys were a bonus and the washer/dryer was a lifesaver for packing light. Condos face west which makes for nice sunsets!

We checked into a bad room. When we called the desk the next morning, the manager was more than happy to assist getting us a different room. Daytime staff seems pleasant and friendly. The nighttime staff we encountered were not so much. The desk clerk was short and the concierge was rude ( older man with an interesting hair style). He seemed much more interested the the possibility to try to sell than to assist (pushy) and made it clear if you did not fit his ideal model. The washers- use the power cycle. The others do not want to wash. If you need anything, they are always short handed and request you come to the desk. They do not have a service elevator so the staff frequently is caught in them when you are trying to go floor to floor. The pools are nice and usually cold. The resort is right on the shore, but no access due to it being just volcanic rock. This resort is commonly confused with the other Outrigger which is down the shoreline by like 5 miles. This location does not have a restaurant or night life. It was a nice quiet stay for my in-laws and my wife and I. Subterranean parking is usually limited due to the people that have reserved spots as they own their units.

We are a family of 4. We stayed here the first week of March 2025. We were very pleased with our stay in Unit 509. The staff were very nice and professional. The complex itself was quiet and clean. We basically had the pool to ourselves every morning. The unit was not new, but was very well maintained and clean. A garden view of the parking lot, hillside and partial ocean. We 100% would stay here again.
