This was our first time to Myrtle Beach. We usually spend every year in Ocean City MD. This resort was a great choice for us as an introduction to Myrtle. It was a great location, as it was on the south end of Ocean Blvd and a little secluded. The resort is new, so everything is bright and clean looking. The grounds are well kept and they do a great job of cleaning and preparing the pool area each day. The beach is small compared to what we are use to, but it was still not overly crowded. The ocean water was a nice temp and a beautiful blue color. Our room was a great size and we loved the master suite. While the resort was pretty full, the pool was large enough to give everyone some space to enjoy.
Stayed here for a week with a toddler and it was a DREAM. We had our own room, living room, kitchen, large bathroom, and a washer/dryer. The pool was awesome, the beach was right there and they even had beach chairs and umbrellas set up so you have everything you need. The view from our room was great and the staff was so nice. Everything was absolutely perfect - definitely staying here again!
We stayed this past weekend and overall, it was just “okay.” For the price, I don’t think it’s worth it—especially when compared to what you can get up north at other properties. There was visible trash around the patio near the pool, which was disappointing. The view from the patio was also a letdown—you couldn’t see the beach at all. My elderly grandparents typically enjoy sitting and looking out at the ocean, but their view was completely blocked by cabanas and landscaping. We were told that each bedroom would have its own bathroom, but that wasn’t true. We were also advised we’d be oceanfront, which was misleading. While we did have a nice view of the pool—and the pool itself was great and not overcrowded—the rest didn’t live up to expectations. The staff was overall friendly, especially those working at the outside bar area, which we appreciated. The property felt secure, requiring wristbands or key cards for access to most areas. I also liked that we were close to the Springmaid Pier. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again. There are better options available for the overall price.
