Stylish, Spacious, and Steps from History – A Fantastic Stay at the Higgins Hotel The Higgins Hotel in New Orleans is an absolute gem — from the moment you walk in, the stunning Art Deco design sets the tone for a classy, comfortable stay. It’s perfectly located just across the street from the WWII Museum, making it an ideal home base for exploring the area. The lobby bar is sleek and inviting, but the real standout is the rooftop bar — easily one of the most spacious I’ve ever been to. Gorgeous views, plenty of room to relax, and a vibe that’s both upscale and welcoming. The hotel was spotless throughout, and the service was top-notch — attentive without being overbearing. Even the elevators, while a bit on the slower side, seem perfectly paced for the older crowd the hotel caters to. Honestly, it just added to the laid-back charm. Whether you’re in town for history, food, or just a stylish place to unwind, the Higgins checks all the boxes. Can’t wait to stay again!

The Higgins Hotel is one of the best in the Hilton portfolio. This was my second stay, and once again, the service was impeccable—front desk, guest services, restaurant, banquet, and housekeeping were all kind, professional, and attentive. Rooms are spacious and modern with very comfortable beds. The WWII/Art Deco design gives the hotel a unique charm. Great location near the CBD, Lower Garden District, and Arts District. Highly recommend!

The Higgins Hotel is an absolute gem in New Orleans, showcasing stunning architecture that perfectly captures the city's historic charm. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted by the hotel's elegant design and character that makes it feel authentically New Orleans. The staff here truly sets this property apart. Every team member I encountered was genuinely friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. Their warm hospitality added so much to the overall experience and made me feel welcomed throughout my visit.The hotel amenities are excellent and well-maintained. Everything from the common areas to the facilities shows attention to detail and quality that you'd expect from a Curio Collection property. However, there were a couple of areas that kept this from being a perfect five-star experience. The beds in my room were noticeably worn and could use updating. Comfort is so important for a good night's sleep, and these felt like they'd seen better days. Additionally, while the hotel restaurants offer quality food, the prices are quite steep, even by New Orleans standards, which might give some guests pause. Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend The Higgins Hotel for its beautiful setting, outstanding service, and prime location. With a few updates to the room furnishings, this could easily be a five-star property.
