Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea

Absolutely recommend this hotel. I loved everything about it, from the modern aesthetics, super clean, cozy room, friendly staff and the location is so convenient. There’s so many places nearby to eat or to simply explore. The restaurant at the hotel as well was lovely. This was my 2nd time staying here, and it will definitely not be my last. I enjoyed every moment of my stay both times. I loved it.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Motto Hilton and overall enjoyed our time at the hotel. Great location fairly close to the subway and restaurants with a bit of a "neighborhood" vibe. Employees were friendly and service at the bar / restaurant was generally good. The only notable downside is the size of the room. I've stayed in many different NY hotels and I understand rooms are generally smaller but this is the smallest I've stayed in and not comfortable for couples. Barely enough room for one person to walk around the bed. Also, nothing resembling a closet, so clothes need to be hung on hooks on the wall.

Let me preface this by saying the hotel is very clean. The rooms are very well laid out and our King with twin bunk room was very spacious for New York. The food in the restaurant is great and the bar is excellent. Elevator waits were not too bad, but expected in busy hotels. You are blocks from two subway lines which make traveling convenient. Taxis are also all around the area. Housekeeping was extra attentive and left our room sparkling clean every day! Our issue was the A/C. We had two different rooms on different floors. We experienced A/C issues in both rooms. We lost sleep for several nights in 75-77 degree rooms. It took multiple visits and a room change to get working air conditioning. We were promised a 100.00 credit but it didn’t appear on our bill. We had to go to the front desk a few times with the issue and certain front desk people were rude about us complaining about the problem. Sleeping in a hot room with no air flow is not my idea of a vacation.
