The Time New York part of JdV by Hyatt

The positives - The staff at this hotel was absolutely amazing! They were all so kind and helpful. The room was a bit small, but it was beautiful and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located right next to the theater showing The Book of Mormon and just a few steps from Broadway. The negatives - No matter what temperature I put the thermostat on, it was still an ice box in there. I guess better than being too hot! The refrigerator really is not usable unless you take a snack out, which is pretty pricey. There is a vent in the bathroom, but it doesn't seem to work, so there's no ventilation in there. Finally, the TV. It is embedded in the mirror, which seems like a clever idea, but you can only see the TV well when the room is completely dark. With all that said, I would definitely come back to this hotel in the future!

If it is your first time in New York, a great location and hotel to get your rest! We booked this unsure about the other reviews, but are so glad we went through with it. The first night our room was a little hot and the Ac wasn’t blowing as well as it should. Emilio at the front desk upgraded our room and got us switched over. He was so helpful and efficient. The rooms were clean, enough room for your suitcases, and great views. The elevators do take a little extra time as there are only two but that’s NYC! We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again as the location, staff, and rooms are top notch.

This hotel served it's purpose well. Staff was super nice, the room was very clean and the location was perfect. I am a woman travelling alone and I felt very comfortable with the location and the hotel. I needed something reasonably priced and didn't want to spend the money for a nicer hotel. For subway access from JFK and around the city it was perfect. Near enough to Times Square to walk to shows, but not right in the middle of the craziness. It was also a hot week and the AC worked great. For all of that, it deserves 4+ stars. But know you are getting a super small room - New York style!!! The decor was also on the dark side. If price it not an issue, I would stay somewhere with bigger rooms, but I would also stay here again with no hesitation.
