About Hotel IMPT

Hotel IMPT is the hotel-search front door for the IMPT network — a climate-positive hotel marketplace headquartered in Ireland, serving 195 countries through 1.7 million indexed hotel URLs. We operate the booking experience and the automatic 1-tonne CO₂ retirement that runs behind every booking.

Who runs IMPT

IMPT is founded and led by Michael English in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The platform has a working team across engineering, climate operations, partnerships, and growth — full names on the main impt.io site. Hotel IMPT is operated by the same team that runs app.impt.io, partners.impt.io and the wider IMPT marketplace.

What we do

We aggregate hotel inventory from direct supply relationships and partner channels, surface it through a single search interface, and retire one verified tonne of CO₂ on every booking from a held inventory of Verra and Gold Standard credits — default-weighted toward removal-track methodologies (biochar, mangrove restoration). The retirement is recorded on-chain against the booking ID and queryable for life.

What we don't do

We don't charge a green fee at checkout. We don't upsell carbon offsets as a separate purchase. We don't claim that a hotel-booking retirement neutralises a long-haul flight. And we don't run sponsored editorial — every word on this site, including the city pages and the explanation pages, is written by the IMPT team without paid placement.
